I said that I was sent here to love. (For You)

At the ripe age of 23, I scream, “WHAT THE F-!!”

I’m tired!

I’m tired of giving my whole self because that’s who I am, down to my core.

I mean, let’s face it…

My mother and father didn’t birth a half-asser in the Love department.

I have so much to give!

And as I stand here all dolled up straightening my step-father’s tie,

He says to me, “Darling, you’re going to make a man very happy one day.”

Well… “one day” can blow me.

I’ve HAD it with “one day” and with all of these “the right guy” references.

It seems to get harder from here.

Lovers seem to keep revealing attributes and qualities that I never even thought would be important.

I am ever-evolving.

So that bar keeps getting taller for “the right guy” who ever he may be.
