The Spot

As life goes on, it’s like we get less time to ourselves. Whether it’s work or school, family or friends, we are…busy!

I often write about my challenges with adapting to “adulting”. It’s tough at times to navigate these waters even WITH guidance.

Because we are made to be fluid in adaptability, self-care is a MUST. Self-care rarely takes the same form for everyone. Some people knit, some people have sex. Do what you gotta’ do! Lol. But for me, writing is my release. Bubble baths, car rides, ice cream, the cuddles, laughter…these are just a few (of my favorite things) of the many ways that I can care for myself.

However, recently, I remembered a place that I used to go to watch the sunset. I did more writing than watching, now that I think about it. But, my Spot was so peaceful. It was my peace. Kind of like an escape from everything.

I encourage you to locate your peace. Find your Spot. Get lost for a bit. Maybe you will come back into your routine refreshed.

Renewing your spirit like that, resets your mind also. Kind of like when you eat sushi. They often include ginger with it to clean your palate while eating, so it’s like you’re tasting every piece for the very first time.

Find your ginger! Lol!
